Lenticular system for Berlin S‐Bahn
Stations often have unsightly corners and niches.
beMATES and AR DISPLAY have designed an unusual solution in this Berlin S-Bahn station and concealed an ugly niche.
A 16-part lenticular wall with a height of more than 3.50 m has been attracting attention since 2017. The individual parts stand accordion-like in relation to each other, and from certain points on the platform, all parts of the picture pointing in the same direction form a complete motif.
Two lenticular walls with a total of 4 motifs are installed in the S-Bahn station, showing the “change of times in inner-city passenger transport”. They have been applied to the laser-cut, edged and welded sheet metal construction (Ferrum Lasercut). When permanently mounted, the lenticular walls now form a real eye-catcher.
